WITS for Government Performance and Reports Act (GPRA)
Background
The West Virginia Department of Human Services, Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) has moved from paper GPRAs to electronic GPRAs to increase real-time data, reporting and communication with grantees. WITS will be used to collect and securely store GPRAs. The data collection system will centralize and streamline communication and deliverable/reporting submissions to BBH from grantees.
WITS enables behavioral health providers to share client and services information online and has the capacity to assist with many functions that will facilitate cooperation and collaboration among behavioral health providers and BBH. BBH will be using four modules in WITS: GPRA, Statewide Waitlist, Continuum, and SAMHSA Block Grant Prevention.
For applicable grantees, WITS will collect the data points for GPRA submissions. WITS will automatically upload all GPRA data collected to SAMHSA's Performance Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS) on a daily basis.
